Via RosemontVA, Alexandria’s historic treasure Gadsby’s Tavern Museum suffered 3 pipe bursts during our horrendous winter. While the Museum structure is still strong, it will be closed for tours for a couple more months, but tavern life will go on!
The Gadsby’s Tavern Museum Society (GTMS) will be hosting a major fundraising event on Saturday, April 11th and all proceeds go to support of the museum.
The Best Bib & Tucker Masquerade Black & White Ball will be held throughout the Museum and the Restaurant with champagne, wine, oysters, elegant hors d’oeuvres and more. Entertainment will be by Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra starring the Songstress Chou Chou with other special guest performers. As is traditional, there will also be another fabulous GTMS Silent Auction that will offer a wide variety of items, services, and experiences.
Tickets to this elegant evening where George Washington came to party are $125 per person, which also provides a year’s membership in GTMS, the friends’ group that supports the Museum. Sponsorship opportunities with even more perks and ticket packages range from $300 to $5,000.
