Sunday Discussion: July 4 Parade in Alexandria? (Open Thread)

Alexandria, Virginia has been ranked as a top city for veterans, signs an annual covenant with local military, and has also recently adopted a military-friendly school policy. Many streets in Alexandria hang quite a lot of flags on their block.

So, why don’t we have a Fourth of July parade? Washington, D.C. has a parade but, should Alexandria? See the packed parade in Bristol, Virginia yesterday above.
