Fatal Pedestrian Crash

UPDATE (4:14 PM): Police released updated details about this incident.

UPDATE (11:46 AM): Sources tell us there were multiple pedestrians struck by vehicle this morning in the 100 block of S. Fairfax Street. Incident occurred behind Burke & Herbert Bank in parking lot and alley way. Second pedestrian struck was the one that was struck fatally. The first pedestrian was struck in the bank parking lot and second occurred in the alley behind the bank. Driver remained on site. Police continue to investigate the scene.

Alexandria Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia this morning.

Expect Police activity in area for some time.

The person killed was an employee of the Warehouse Bar & Grill.

A senior citizen backed into a parking attendant (later died of injuries) and then accelerated into another person (presumably he hit the gas when he realized he backed into the person).
