Pittsburgh Steelers Washington Redskins Highlights – Week 1

To put it mildly, we sucked as the Steelers thrashed the Redskins 38-16 on Monday Night Football.

The Washington Redskins were outplayed and outcoached by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football bringing the Redskins record to 2-15 in their last 17 prime time appearances.

Early on, Kirk Cousins was terrible, aiming his throws more than sitting back there and throwing decisively. We had little running game. I was not very impressed by Matt Jones. Part of that goes to the offensive line which, for lack of a better term, was offensive.

The good was Desean Jackson, who looked much like the Desean Jackson when he was with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Hopkins our kicker was solid. Even on a terrible situation where the Redskins were called for delay of game on a PAT.

The really bad was the defense. Breeland and Norman, the Redskins 2 cornerbacks, were beat much of the night, Breeland especially, because the Redskins had no pass rush to speak of. The Redskins also failed to stop the run and make any adjustments to do so. The other really bad was the penalties which killed the Redskins drives repeatedly.

The good news is, its game 1. It can only get better from here. What do you think Redskins fans?
