Each year, the City of Alexandria, Virginia honors the memory and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with its annual Poster Exhibition at Alexandria’s City Hall.

Each year, the City of Alexandria, Virginia honors the memory and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with its annual Poster Exhibition at Alexandria’s City Hall.

Posters drawn by Alexandria’s public school students will remain on view in the Vola Lawson Lobby until the end of February. Students of the Alexandria City Public Schools were encouraged to create posters that highlighted the people or organizations that inspired them.

This year’s program is sponsored by the Alexandria Society for the Preservation of Black Heritage, the Alexandria Black History Museum, and the Alexandria City Public Schools.The theme for this year’s program is:“Serving the People, Serving America, Serving Alexandria.”
